Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to learn. Here are the basics you need to know.
Aces are worth 1. Cards 2–9 are worth their face value. 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are all worth 0. A hand's value is the sum of all cards — if the total exceeds 9, only the last digit counts. Example: 7 + 6 = 13, hand value = 3.
Two hands are dealt each round — Banker and Player. All you need to do is predict which hand will be closer to 9, or whether they will tie (Tie). The dealer handles all the cards; you simply make your prediction and wait for the result.
The third card is drawn automatically according to standard baccarat rules. If the Player or Banker hand totals between 0 and 5, a third card is drawn. If the total is 6 or 7, no additional card is dealt. A total of 8 or 9 is a "natural" — no further cards are drawn for either side.
Banker wins pay 0.95:1 (minus 5% commission). Player wins pay 1:1. Tie wins pay 8:1. On Tony99 No Commission tables, Banker wins pay a full 1:1 with no deductions.
The Banker bet carries a house edge of 1.06% — among the lowest of any casino game. The Player bet has a house edge of 1.24%. The Tie bet carries a house edge of 14.36% and is generally not recommended from a statistical standpoint.
Each round gives you a set window to place your bet before the dealer begins dealing. At Tony99, the timer is displayed clearly on screen — make sure you decide before it runs out.
Understand the odds on each bet to make smarter decisions at the Tony99 baccarat table.
| Bet Types | Payment | House Edge | RTP | Win Probability |

| Tie | 8:1 | 14.36% | 85.64% | 9.52% |
| Banker No Commission | 1:1 (no commission) | 1.17% | 98.83% | 45.86% |

A road map is a visual record of past round results at a baccarat table. Tony99 provides several road map types in real time — Big Road, Bead Road, Big Eye Road, and Small Road — to help you identify game patterns.
Keep in mind that every baccarat round is independent and random. The road map shows historical patterns only — it is not a prediction of the next round. Use the road map as a quick reference, not as a definitive strategy.
These strategies are not a guarantee of winning, but they can help you play in a more controlled and disciplined way.
Statistically, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge at 1.06%. If you prefer a simple, consistent strategy, betting on Banker more frequently is the mathematically sound choice.
While the 8:1 payout may look appealing, the Tie bet carries a house edge of 14.36% — more than 13 times worse than the Banker bet. Treat Tie as a small side bet, not your main strategy.
Before sitting down at a Tony99 table, set a maximum loss amount you're comfortable with for the session. Once you hit that limit, stop playing. Financial discipline is the key to a healthy and enjoyable gaming experience.
Tony99's No Commission Baccarat table removes the standard 5% commission on Banker wins, replacing it with a 1:2 payout only when Banker wins on 6 points. For players who frequently bet on Banker, this table generally offers better overall value.
More than just a game — Tony99 delivers a baccarat experience genuinely built for Malaysian players.
Tony99 uses a multi-angle camera system at every baccarat table. You can view the cards from multiple angles — leaving absolutely no room for doubt about round transparency.

If you have ever wondered why baccarat is so popular among Malaysian players, the answer is actually straightforward. It requires no advanced technical skill, rounds play out quickly, and the house edge on the main bets is among the lowest in the casino world. Tony99 understands this appeal and has invested heavily in building the best live baccarat ecosystem for Malaysian players — from beginner-friendly standard tables to exclusive VIP tables for seasoned players.
Many people don't realise that baccarat actually originated in Italy in the 15th century before it took off among French nobility. Today, the game has become deeply woven into Asian casino culture — particularly among Malaysian and Chinese players who see baccarat as a game of good fortune. At Tony99, we honour that tradition while pairing it with modern technology to deliver an experience that feels both relevant and exciting for today's generation of Malaysian players.
One of the most common questions the Tony99 team receives is about the difference between betting on Banker versus Player. In pure numbers, Banker is the smarter bet — its house edge is just 1.06% compared to 1.24% for Player. The 5% commission charged on Banker wins still leaves better overall value for players over the long run. This is no industry secret — nearly every casino strategy book and baccarat expert recommends Banker as the primary bet for consistent players.
That said, baccarat at Tony99 is about far more than numbers — it's about the experience. When you sit down at a Tony99 Speed Baccarat table, for instance, you'll feel the adrenaline of every round wrapping up in just 27 seconds. A countdown timer ticks on your screen, the dealer handles the cards with speed and precision, and wins or losses are decided in an instant. It's exactly the right tempo for modern Malaysian players who are used to living life at a fast pace.
For players who enjoy suspense and drama, Baccarat Squeeze at Tony99 offers a truly different experience. The dealer reveals the cards slowly, bending the corners before turning them face up — a technique known as the "squeeze" in the world of baccarat. It adds a layer of emotional excitement that no standard RNG game can replicate. Every card revealed is shared in that same moment of tension by players across Malaysia watching the same table — that is the power of Tony99 live casino.
For players who want a deeper understanding, Tony99 provides a full road map display for every baccarat table. The Big Road is the most popular view, showing the winning patterns of Banker (marked with coloured circles) and Player (empty circles) arranged in columns. The Bead Road displays each result consecutively without column breaks. There is also the Big Eye Road, Small Road, and Cockroach Road, each highlighting repeating patterns from a different perspective. The Tony99 team recommends using these road maps as a general reference only and not relying on them entirely when making betting decisions.
Payments and security are two areas Tony99 never compromises on. All deposits and withdrawals for baccarat are processed in MYR through trusted local payment methods — DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, and FPX internet banking including Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Winnings are withdrawn in as little as 5 minutes for regular members and 3 minutes for VIP members. All transactions are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption, keeping your financial details completely secure.
Finally, Tony99 would like to remind all our baccarat players to play responsibly. Baccarat is entertainment — and it should stay that way, fun rather than stressful. Set your budget before you play, enjoy the live table experience with a clear head, and make use of the self-control tools Tony99 provides whenever you feel you need them. Our responsible gaming support programme is available 24/7 via live chat for anyone who needs assistance or guidance.

Hear from those who have experienced live baccarat at Tony99 firsthand.
"I've tried plenty of other platforms, but Tony99 is genuinely different. The baccarat stream never buffers even on a regular 4G connection. The dealers are friendly too — you can actually chat with them. Last Saturday night I won RM2,800 at a standard table and withdrew via DuitNow — the money arrived in 4 minutes."
"Tony99 Baccarat Squeeze really is a different experience. Watching the dealer squeeze the cards feels just like being in a real casino. The interface is in BM too, so there's no guessing what each button does. I've been loyal to Tony99 for over a year now and I'm not going anywhere."
"Tony99 Speed Baccarat is my go-to during office breaks — rounds are quick and there's no long wait. The road map makes it easy to spot patterns. Their no commission table is genuinely worth it for anyone who likes betting on Banker like I do."
